Stalked by Patti Sheey follows the author's first book, The Boy Who Said No: An Escape to Freedom and is the continuation of Frank Medeors' true-life story of a young man's escape from Fidel Castro's Cuba.

In the earlier account of Frank's life, we learned of his beginnings with a loving family in Cuba. With Batista's ouster and Fidel's rise to power, life changed drastically. When his beloved Magda's family decided to emigrate so that her brother would not have to join Fidel's army at age fifteen, Frank could not stand to be parted from her and planned and executed his harrowing and extremely dangerous escape by boat to America.

Because of his knowledge of much of Fidel's fortifications and firepower, Frank was asked to join the CIA. Deciding against that, he chooses instead to live as normal a life as possible and marry his Magda. In this story we read about the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Bay of Pigs, and the dictatorial and cruel reign of Fidel.

We also learn that we do not always leave our troubles behind us. Someone is out to kill Frank. His military training alerts him to the dangers he faces. Stalked brings the conditions in Cuba today to the forefront. We cannot live forever so Fidel is finding out. But will his reign continue with his brother Raul?

Intrigue. Espionage. Romance. Suspense. Devotion. Stalked has it all - and remember that this book might be a novel but it is based on a true story. A good read.
