Full page color photos show some of the food variations that exist when it comes to breakfast. Do you want toast, cereal, orange juice, eggs or, perhaps, a croissant? If you live in China you might ask for congee, or some fish if you are Japanese.

Besides showing the options available for the first meal of the day, the author offers a recipe for making muesli. There are notes for adults too on how to get the most out of this little book.

I may not purchase this for use at home, but if I were a teacher I could see a use for this in the classroom to spark a discussion on what children eat for breakfast and why the first meal of the day is so important.
