Fifty years ago they took the musical world by storm when they first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964. Even though only two members of the group are still alive, the Beatles can still draw a crowd when they appear in public and their music continues to be very popular.

This retrospective of the Fab Four's career explains how the group was formed and leads up to their arrival in New York City on February 7th. It then charts the musical group's career up through George's death in 2001 and Paul's appearance at the 2012 London Olympics.

As he provides an overview of the Beatles' career, the author also looks at how the pop musicians changed the music and fashion industries. Of course, any book like this must also touch upon the negative elements in the featured artists' lives, so the group's break-up and John's death are discussed as well.

George once said, 'I'd like to think that the old Beatles fans have grown up and they've got married and they've all got kids and they're all more responsible, but they still have a space in their hearts for us.'

Not to worry, George. Not only have we not forgotten you, but your music and memory has been passed down to not one but two and soon three generations of Beatles fans. The musical love affair is far from being over!
