Pan, 2013 (2013)
Reviewed by Bob Walch
his board book features pull tabs that reveal the differences between the animals found on its pages. For example, a little red ant says, '
I scuttle down ...
' and on the opposite page a tall giraffe replies '
I reach up ...
' Pull the tab that extends the giraffe's long neck and the word
appears to complete the animal's sentence.
ou'll also find a snail and leopard (slow and fast) and a mouse and lion (quiet and loud). The final page has a mirror so your toddler can see a reflection of himself/herself.
he tabs here are easy to manipulate and are extensions of the animals' bodies. As concept books goes, this one is nicely designed. It is only a shame that more animals and pages weren't included.
