The Mystery of Meerkat Hill tells a story of Precious's childhood when she decides that she will become a detective. She feels that this is meant to be her life. When two new students arrive at her school, she decides to befriend them, knowing it isn't easy to enter a new situation. She is invited to their house only to discover they have a pet meerkat. He loves to sit on their cow's back in order to see what is happening around him. Their cow wanders off and the two new children ask her to help find her. She is vital to their family. Try to imagine what happens when Precious is hot on the trail of the lost bovine. Delightful story.
