Healing Sands Sanitarium (the proper spelling at this particular point in time) on the northwestern coast of Washington overlooks the Pacific Ocean. We go back to the turn of the twentieth century where a rest cure might include fermented diets and Dr. Hornsby's electrotherapeutics. No one has ever died there, until now.

Professor Benjamin Bradshaw has been summoned to investigate a man's death while he was having a treatment in the electrotherapeutic machine which, ironically, is one of Bradshaw's devising. The only people at the Sanitarium at this moment are the staff and four quests. Bradshaw swears to the safety of his machine. Someone had to have altered it. Who? Who would have the knowledge to do it? And, for heaven's sake, why?

Capacity for Murder is the third in Bernadette Pajer's Professor Bradshaw series. In it, we have seen the professor progress from teaching status to inventor and investigator. I'm wondering what is next for the good professor. And looking forward to it.
