We experience love, pain, happiness, and sorrow. Animals do too. We share these feelings and others as well. But animals could show us a thing or two about responsibility, community, generosity, and tolerance.' Rebecca Orozco continues, ably assisted by Menena Cottin's vibrant illustrations of animals in their settings, to give examples of 'what we can learn from our animal friends.' She shows us altruism in howler monkeys; flamingo community; dolphin communication; generosity in elephants; responsibility amongst armadillos; crocodile trust; octopus commitment; penguin solidarity; brotherhood of wolves; and wildebeest tolerance. This informative and inspiring picture book concludes, 'We are part of the same animal kingdom. We can learn to live in harmony with each other and the world around us too!'
