If you ever played the eye-spy game you'll appreciate how this book is designed. The first page reads, 'I spy with my little eye something with stripes.' On the opposite page is a clue ('I have a funny name') and a drawing that shows just a bit of the fish. Flip the page and there are seven clownfish!

As you move through the book you'll realize there is some reverse counting involved here as well. There will be sea horse and crab pictures as well as swordfish, octopuses, dolphin, and finally one very large, toothy shark that says, 'I'm a SHARK ... and I spy YOU!'

This fun adaption of a classic game is a good way to work on identifying some common ocean creatures but it also includes a little counting practice as well.
