Lucy decides to celebrate the end of her senior year by finding the graffiti artist she has long admired. The artist everyone calls Shadow leaves his fantastic artwork on building canvases all across the city. Each picture tells a story and sometimes the mysterious Poet adds his words.

Lucy's friends, Jazz and Daisy, come along on her all night quest. They are joined by Leo, Dylan and Ed. Lucy has spent the year avoiding Ed. On their first and only date, she punched him in the nose. Ed and his friends tell Lucy they know where to find Shadow and the search begins. The boys are killing time until a middle-of-the-night rendezvous of their own.

This adventure takes place all in one night and is told in first person alternating viewpoints that are so seamless you hardly notice. It didn't take but a few pages for me to be caught up the lives of Lucy and her friends. They are smart, appealing and sometimes ditzy. If you liked Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist and Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, you won't want to miss this read.
