Whoever heard of taking a woolly mammoth to the library? Obviously the boy in this picture book sees no problem in inviting his huge friend along to check out some books, but he needs to get the librarian's permission first.

Since Woolly is a tad on the humungous side, the youngster is going to have to point out all the things Woolly can do to make Ms. Reeder's life easier.

For example, he can reach the top shelves and help put returned books back in place and if the librarian wants to take a break, Woolly can sit at her desk and check out books. He'd be perfect in the children's Reading Corner because he loves having people read aloud to him and the little children could practice their reading skills.

Of course, there might be a downside to letting Woolly inside the library but I'll let you discover what that might be when you read this story about the boy and his unusual friend.

Young children will giggle their way through this humorous picture book as they gaze at the wonderful illustrations of Woolly trying to fit in at the library!
