Kristi Yamaguchi's first bestselling children's book, Dream Big, Little Pig is followed by a second installment featuring figure skater Poppy in It's a Big World, Little Pig. Tim Bowers' illustrations are finely-drawn definitions of the animal characters, perfectly catching their expressions in bright and airy colors.

Poppy receives an invitation by mail to participate in the World Games in Paris, France. Poppy is supported by her grandparents - 'You go, girl!' - while her parents tell her to 'Follow your dreams!' Best-friend Emma encourages Poppy with a good luck charm and tells her friend: 'It's a big world, little pig, but remember that everyone smiles in the same language!'

Upon arrival at the World Athlete Village, the first competitors Poppy meets are snowboarder Li from China; skier Gianna from Italy; ice-skater Kiyomi from China; and speed skater Zoe from Australia. Each meeting helps Poppy to relax, as they exchange information about their countries and words in differing languages.

Kristi Yamaguchi is an Olympic figure skating champion. She aspires to instill her motto, Always Dream, in the hearts of children. A percentage of the profits from the sales of It's a Big World, Little Pig! will benefit early childhood literacy programs supported by Kristi's Always Dream Foundation.
