t is a hot summer's night in a big city. Everyone is busy cooking, playing games, watching TV, and working on the computer. In fact everyone is much too busy. And then ... the lights go out!
uddenly there's no electricity. There is a blackout. Nothing works at all. Out come the flashlights and candles. An eerie quiet descends over the city and the neighborhood. Without air conditioning, families go up onto the roof of the apartment buildings or out on the streets to cool off.
y gosh! Are those stars up in the dark sky? Yup. What's that noise down on the street? Why, it's an impromptu party. What fun!
hen the lights come back on. Soon everything returns to normal. Too bad. That was actually a lot of fun – not having electricity for a while!
