Calling all mystery lovers and especially fans of Special Agent Ana Grey of the FBI! Just in case you missed this one of author April Smith's series, here it is, Good Morning, Killer.

When a fifteen-year-old girl is abducted, Ana is sent to investigate. The girl resurfaces but is traumatized which makes it hard to get a handle on the case. And Ana, against all FBI protocol, empathizes with the girl's ordeal. How can an investigator distance herself from her feelings for the victim?

Then her lover's involvement comes into play. Andrew Berringer is assigned by his city's police department to investigate and partner with Ana. The two of them, Ana and Andrew, have been having difficulty with their relationship. Ana is ready to take it to the next level but Andrew drags his heels. She recognizes his uncontrollable rages as a very big stumbling block, but is he also cheating on her? Ana realizes life is not easy while trying to balance all this. Trust becomes an issue.

The action escalates at a fast pace as suspense raises its head. Ana is charged with attempted murder. Her life falls apart with little hope for a good resolution. It's a good mystery, one that's hard to put down when life intervenes. Good Morning, Killer has also been made into an Original Movie for TNT. Pretty good recommendation.
