his girl-in-the-city novel features super sleuth Zephyr Zuckerman. On the verge of her 31st birthday, Zephyr has reached the exulted level of junior detective with the New York City Special Investigations Commission.
n this adventure she goes undercover as a concierge at a Greenwich Village Hotel to see if she can track down who laundered a hundred grand off the hotel's books and why. The assignment gets a little more complex and dangerous when a hotel guest is found gasping for air in his room. There are some strange things going on in this funky hotel and it's up to Zephyr to discover exactly who is behind the shenanigans.
ephyr's personal life has also turned quite challenging, which doesn't make her
job any easier. Her boyfriend has moved out because of a disagreement over having children (he wants them and she doesn't). The void has been quickly filled by a rock climbing fireman who answered the 911 call for the hotel's guest. The fast working rescue worker is now interested and wants to climb Zephyr's bones! Perhaps she should opt for a celibate life cuddling just her Holland Lop bunny!
hether on the job or at home, there's never a dull moment in Zephyr Zuckerman's life. A little humor coupled with suspense and romance make this a series many readers have willing embraced. If you aren't deadly serious about your mysteries, you'll probably fall in love with Zephyr too!
