Here's a wonderful introduction to the sights and animals of Australia. The vibrant and colorful art work jumps right off the page and can't help but attract the attention of any toddler.

From the dingo, emu, lyrebird and koala to a numbat, platypus, quokka and wombat, these native critters are portrayed by renowned Aboriginal artist Bronwyn Bancroft, whose art has been shown in galleries around the world. The distinctive use of color and various designs give the illustrations a texture not normally found in works of this nature.

For older children, after they've looked at the book a few times, suggest they try to create similar art using the book as a guide. First released in Australia, the soft cover edition of this splendid book is available in the USA through Trafalgar Children's Books.
