It has been over three decades since Dr. Kathleen Sainsbury's parents were murdered in Iraq. The archaeologists were killed while excavating beneath an ancient temple in the biblical city of Shuruppak, the birthplace of Noah.

The founder of a biotech startup, the biologist is on the verge of a gene therapy that will extend human life when she gets a troubling phone call. The caller, an antiques dealer named Dr. Hakeen Abdul Sargon, supposedly has information about her parents' deaths.

Unfortunately, before he can share what he knows, the informer is found dead and Kathleen is thrust into a bizarre mystery that involves a shadow organization called the Olam Foundation, the U.S. government, and the Book of Genesis.

Dogged by both the FBI and the CIA, Kathleen embarks on a strange and dangerous odyssey to discover the true nature of her parents' research, which will also explain why they had to be silenced. The link to her own lab work becomes clear as she delves into the past and realizes that there are those who will go to any means to steal or destroy her hard-won knowledge.

Kathleen's faith in science and her understanding of religion will be challenged as she grapples in this gripping thriller with a harrowing situation that could well have a lasting effect on the future of all humanity.

James Barney makes his debut with this novel that has been described as The Da Vinci Code meets Jurassic Park. Barney may be the new kid on the block, but if this thriller is any indication of what he can do, you are going to hear much more from this talented writer.
