Tyler Locke, hero of The Ark by Boyd Morrison, is on board a Washington State Ferry trying to find a van that will explode and sink the ferry if he does not disarm a bomb in time. He's soon joined in his quest by Stacy Benedict under direct orders from someone who is holding her sister and Tyler's father captive. The two prisoners will die if orders are not carried out.

The main thrust of the plot is to find King Midas' Touch and amass a vast fortune. There's a lot of historical facts thrown into this, at times thrilling and at others just down right exciting, novel. And a possible, and intriguing, explanation for King Midas' touch turning everything to gold is presented.

As readers, we travel to London, Munich, Athens, Naples and then New York where Stacy and Tyler struggle to decode a historical treasure map as they are forced to find King Midas' possibly mythical treasure. They are told by the unknown man who has sent them on this treasure hunt that it is, indeed, real and he has seen a room made of gold.

Tyler has a helping hand from various members of his hi-tech company and they leave behind an increasing number of dead bodies. The captives' lives continue to hang in the balance as Tyler and Stacy struggle against horrendous odds to free them.
