'If in all of forever, I never endeavor to fly, I won't know if I can. I won't know if I can't.' Thus begins the debate that this story revolves around. Should this little bird try to leave his nest, spread his wings and take to the skies? Or, should he stay in his warm, safe, and secure nest?

Struggling with the dilemma, he weighs both sides of the taking an action he is a little leery of. 'But, look there ... if I don't fly, I won't know what it is to swoop low or soar high, or what it's like to pluck a sweet bug from the sky.'

What's the little fledgling going to do? You'll have to read this picture book for youngsters four years of age and up to find out! It's a clever little story that not only offers a message for children but also for adults about going out on a limb and trying new things that might be a little scary.

Holly Meade's colorful collage work makes her story all the more pleasant to read and it nicely captures the little bird's should I or shouldn't I quandary.
