'No one but you can walk through a rain puddle in your bare feet,' reads the text as a little girl is pictured splashing through the water with the wind ruffling her blond hair. Other children are shown listening to a redbird in the forest, dangling their feet in a fish filled pond, gently holding a turtle, and watching the flight of a bumblebee. No matter what they are doing – licking the dewdrop off a rose, smelling a flower or nuzzling a puppy – all these youngsters are perfectly in touch with their surroundings. 'And no one – no one in all the wide world but you - can feel the feelings in your heart, knowing that someone loves you…and saying words only your lips can say; 'I love you, too.' No one but you.' concludes this moving narrative. A special volume with large illustrations of children of all races, No One But You is a book that you'll want to share with your child again and again because its sentiments are so heartfelt and important.
