Part of the series of oversized volumes that showcases the art work of nearly thirty of the Disney studio's artists, this collection includes sketches on napkins, elaborate paintings in oils or watercolors and dazzling computer renderings.

Locked away in the Walt Disney Animation Research Library, this series provides the rare opportunity to see some of the concept art that influenced the studio's classic films.

Along with the full page color plates you'll find larger fold-outs that feature not only settings but also characters from a wide selection of cartoons and feature length films.

Beginning with some development sketches of Mickey and Minnie Mouse from 1928, the anthology covers early works such as Music Land, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia and Bambi. More recent feature films include The Jungle Book, Mulan, Brother Bear and Tangled.

Aside from a short introduction by John Lasseter, there is no text accompanying the art. The art does all the talking in this visual banquet!

Yes, it is pricey, but when you see the art and realize that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own such a collector's volume, you'll agree that at twice the price this book would be a bargain!
