his is Daddy Mouse's call as this adorable picture book for preschoolers begins. Mouse Baby is not ready for bed, though, and the ensuing pages show him hiding in the ivy and behind flowers in the garden. Then he dashes into the house and scurries up a lamp.
he rhymed text follows the mouse as he tries to avoid his father and postpone the inevitable – bedtime! With a quick grab, Daddy Mouse has the runaway's tail and the little mouse finds himself nestling in his parent's arms. Now it is time for a kiss, a hug and a tuck in between the covers: 'It's time for bed. It's time for sleep. It's time for an end To hide-and-squeak.'
