While on a journey, a traveler follows a winding forest road. It is cold and dark with snow on the ground and he had walked for many miles. When he comes upon a lighted house, he asks the first person he meets there if he can have a room. He is sent from one old man to an even older man and finally is given the hospitality he craves.

This fluid retelling of the Norwegian folktale, Seven Fathers, provides a sense of spiritual connection to those who have gone before us. Ed Young's artwork adds visuals that enhance the story with soft tans highlighted by occasional brightness.

Seven Fathers is a story that will be enjoyed by both adults and children.
