In fact, when my mother told me we were going to see Doctor Green, I was not a very happy little dachshund. 'Oh no!' I howled. 'This is not going to be fun!' When we got to the office all the other little animals waiting there were also pretty unhappy. Can you imagine seeing a duck hanging onto a chair leg and a horse hiding behind a coat on the clothing rack? Actually, I went and found a safe place under a chair. That wasn't the worst of it, though. When I went into the doctor's examination room I found a big cow crying. My goodness, I thought he was a patient so I said, 'I'm sure the doctor's not that mean!' Well, was I surprised when the cow replied, 'I'm Dr. Green!' What a shock! Oh boy, I thought, this is going to be good! But the checkup went very well. When the doctor was finished he gave me a smiley sticker to wear and then my mom and I went home. Rather than be afraid of going to the doctor's office, now I can hardly wait because I always get a sticker for being such a brave little dachshund. I'm sure if you are a little worried about going to see your doctor, my story will make you feel much better and put your mind at ease.
