y dad has sort of gone missing but no one seems to be too concerned about the situation. When I asked my mom, '
Do you happen to know where Dad is?
', her reply was, '
Not around here, that's for sure.
ow, I ask you, is that any kind of answer to give an impressionable kid who worries a lot? And, that's not the only problem I'm dealing with right now. At school my bullying classmates refer to me as being as dumb as '
a box of dead frogs
'd tell my mom, but she's rather distracted right now. At least that's the excuse I use for her behavior when she forgets to wake me up for school or when she slaps a chicken leg in front of me for breakfast!
h, did I mention I also have ADHD which sort of makes me kind of squirmy, if you know what I mean? Given all this stuff going on in my life, you may not be surprised to hear I have created an imaginary tree house for myself. It is the perfect hiding place and in it I have a hundred puppies and two older brothers. I like having older brothers because they offer me advice.
y story is kind of funny and also a little sad, but it is one I think you'll enjoy, especially if you are in grade two or three and can read now.
