Granny Gomez was a little lonely so she decided to get a pet. She was considering a dog or a cat, but a well-intentioned neighbor gave her a little pig instead.

Granny's new roommate worked out just fine at the beginning, but as Jigsaw became older, he doubled in size and then doubled again. Obviously this presented a problem and soon the pet pig was too large to stay in the house with Granny Gomez.

Although she built him a very comfortable barn and Jigsaw seemed happy, the poor woman realized how she was lonely again and had no one to watch TV or enjoy meals with. Since she loved doing jigsaw puzzles (hence the pig's name), Granny gave her new problem a lot of thought and eventually the pieces all fell together.

You'll have to read this amusing picture book to see what Granny Gomez finally came up with and, as you'll see, it really was the logical thing to do!
