Laila left her home in Brady, Texas where she had the all American family - a father, a brother, and everything she could possibly want. But the wide world beckoned her and she tagged along as a seventeen year-old with someone she believed loved her for herself – not her body. We all know where that took her.

It's now ten years later and Laila is on the run. We, the readers, share her thoughts in script as she tries to hide from something dreadful she did years ago. What that is we must read on to discover. Most of her musing proves to be profound and makes us stop reading while we contemplate what she has discovered in her life of ten years on the run.

Slowly her story is revealed, making her despair understandable. Trying to save those who try to help her, she only enmeshes herself and them further into her life of being always on the move. She is running to escape what she really takes with her no matter where she goes. The outcome is fairly predictable but exciting nonetheless.

Laila is haunted by wraiths and ghosts until all is revealed.
