This handy little book brings together a number of the British statesman's wonderful quotes. A man who seemed to enjoy taking center stage and sometimes enraging people with his notorious wit and razor sharp tongue, Winston Churchill shaped the march of events in the 20th century.

Although some of these quotes, especially from the war years, are quite familiar ('I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat'), others have been gathered here for the first time ('If we win, nobody will care. If we lose, there will be nobody to care.')

No matter whether you are already familiar with this material or reading it for the first time, this collection of Sir Winston's lively and whimsical quips is a delight to ponder.
