On Christmas Eve Suzy Goose and her friends were gathered around a big, decorated fir tree. Although it was quite beautiful, the gaily decorated tree was missing one thing.

'It needs a star on top,' honked Suzy. 'Just like that bright one in the sky. I will get it.'

She tried as hard as she could, but poor Suzy just couldn't reach the star. The little white goose flew high up in the sky, she climbed to the top of a pile of logs and then jumped upwards, but everything she tried failed. Finally, after walking and walking, Suzy gave up.

'"It is Christmas Eve. I cannot reach the star and I am very far from home", she thought.' Alas, Suzy was so far from home that she was lost. Now what was she going to do?

Then, away in the distance she heard, 'Hee-haw! Moo,moo! Oink, oink!' Suzy's friends were calling for her and she followed the sounds back to the farm. And, guess what? A big surprise awaited Suzy, for there, on top of the tree, was a beautiful, bright star!

This magical Christmas book (the third in the series) follows the charmingly single-minded goose on a very special holiday adventure. Youngsters age three and older will find this a wonderful, seasonal read and one they'll return to in years to come.
