It was a rainy, rainy day, and the Patterson puppies had run out of things to do. Andy had read his favorite dinosaur book from front to back for the fifty-first time. Penelope had sorted her hair clips into neat rows. Zack had tried on every superhero costume he had. Petra had told all her stuffed animals their favorite stories and put them to bed.
ow the four puppies sat and sat and sat because they were bored. Having four puppies in the house on a rainy day can lead to trouble and, as you will see, it does in this instance.
hen Petra decides to stage a make-believe beach outing in the family's basement, all goes well for a while until Penelope decides to create a real ocean by using buckets of water to transform the blue carpet into a wet playland.
he soggy fun abruptly ends when the children's parents walk in the door. The rest of the afternoon will be spent on clean-up chores with mops and buckets!
t's an amusing book about the overly imaginative,
play of four spirited little puppies - your little ones (age two and older) will love this picture book. Let's hope it doesn't give them ideas, though!
