Sun sets. Shoes shine. / Sunday best. Stand in line. / Hands entwined in the cold. / First ballet. Five years old.
hus begins a little girl's first trip to see the ballet. Along with her grandmother, the child is about to experience a breathtaking performance by a group of graceful dancers.
Hours pass as dancers float. / Story closes. Final note. / Bow and curtsy. Audience stands. / Roses falling. Clapping hands.
ll too quickly the evening draws to an end, but the little girl in her green dress and red coat will never forget this magical and captivating outing to the ballet.
