Dan Gordon (a detective extraordinaire trained by Mossad) is assigned to a cold case the FBI doesn't want. For more than fifteen years, The Chameleon has slick talked his way into million dollar cons. Then he slips away like the thief he is.

Gordon must reopen the FBI's lax investigation, then trace a fifteen-year trail around the world to find a man who changes identities like a chameleon changes colors. This villain leaves a trail of fraud and international intrigue, that leads Gordon to Australia, South Africa and Pakistan and puts him on both sides of the law. At one point, he has the criminal in his grasp, only to lose him again. But the CIA's Gordon is an adversary who will not stop until the Chameleon is captured. He is intelligent, he is tenacious, and he likes good food.

This is the third in a Dan Gordon series of Intelligence thrillers. The author, Haggai Carmon, is an international attorney working between the US, Israel and other parts of the world. Since 1985, he has worked for several U.S. federal agencies gathering legal intelligence outside the U.S. in cases involving money laundering and mega fraud. His series character, Dan Gordon, grew from Carmon's own expertise in the area. He knows whereof he speaks. The Chameleon Conspiracy is an international thriller at its best.
