This book includes everything you ever wanted to know about the sixteenth U.S.president. Lincoln led the county through tough times and was Commander-in Chief during the nation's only civil war. His life is one of the best known of past presidents, but the reader will still learn things he didn't know and hadn't even considered.

Using in a question and answer format, Prokopowicz follows Lincoln's life chronologically. He provides answers to controversial (the debate about Lincoln's bouts of depression), titillating (did Mary Lincoln hold séances in the White House?) and more mundane (how tall was Lincoln?) questions.

One of the most puzzling questions to our generation was whether Lincoln's mother was born out of wedlock. Prokopowicz explains why some historians felt it was important but doesn't settle the question one way or another.

This highly enjoyable book with its entertaining voice and humorous anecdotes is a must-have for Lincoln fans and history buffs. Its page turning, easy going style will entice most readers. It is also accessible enough to become an easy reference.
