Dinosnore!    by John Bendall-Brunello Order:  USA  Can Andersen, 2009 (2009) Hardcover      Reviewed by Hilary Williamson An exhausted dinomum determinedly sleeps on while three dinokids demand her attention in every way they can imagine in John Bendall-Brunello's delightful Dinosnore! The story is told mostly through its Jurassic world illustrations, punctuated by verbs. It begins when the dinokiddos 'yawn stretch wake up!' They 'push pinch poke', 'tickle claw elbow', 'push shove heave-ho', 'run roll slide', 'slip slap stop!', 'splitter splatter splash', and 'swing jump bounce' while mom continues to 'snore snore snore' through all their energetic endeavors. Of course she does eventually awake and joins the fun with a 'ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!' Kids who bounce on the bed in the mornings trying to get parents up - and parents who long for just a few more sleepy snores - will act out Dinosnore! together with enthusiasm.
