Each poem is hauntingly illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault. These pictures bring the poems to life making literature, that is not normally accessible to children, very kid-friendly. Arsenault wonderfully illustrates these seven poems in surreal pictures done mainly in blacks and browns, with other colors thoughtfully used here and there. These pictures are simply stunning and will please adult fans of fine art and literature as much as they will children who are just starting to read classic poems. This slim volume is well bound, making it a book to treasure for years to come.
